From the NTHS Guidance Counselor's Office:
Scholarship Search Nights: These are set up in the New Town High School computer lab and run from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Students and parents are welcome to come in and spend time completing applications for scholarships for college. Please bring a flash drive for saving essays and other information. Scholarship information is also shared with students on the counselor walls and through the College/Career Counseling Team for their specific graduating year.

We are having senior night during halftime at the middle school game tonight. The game starts at 5:00 PM. There’s also a dinner at 6:30 in the cafeteria.
New Town Middle School Students: There is Saturday Academy today from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. Students may show up at any time during the above hours to attend. You can make up missed assignments, receive tutoring, and make up missed attendance. Attached are other dates for quarter 1. We hope to see you there!
New Town High School Students: There is Saturday Academy today from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. Come in and get your grades up and your hours down! Please use the west door. It is labeled. We are here to help you.

Attached is the October 2021 schedule for COVID-19 Rapid Testing. Please note the weekly testing done by the MHA EOC/Covid Task Force at the ICC in New Town has been moved to Mondays and Wednesdays from 11 am to 3 pm. Also attached is information on MIS-C or Multisystem Inflammatory Syndrome in Children which is a delayed immune response related to COVID-19.
Also, if any parents have questions about the Distribution Center or testing outside the regularly scheduled dates, they can call the number on the flyer (Keri Wilson 701 421-0282) or they can contact the Operations Section Chief - Jeri Kerzmann at 701 527-5868, the Incident Commander RJ Rabbithead 701 421-6546 or the EOC Director - Emily Sitting Bear at 701 421-5114. Remember, the services and resources from the Tribes' Distribution Center are available to everyone and not limited only to tribal members. Tonight's VB game against White Shield has been postponed and will be rescheduled for a later date.
Tomorrow the girls JV and Varsity (except the seniors) will play Shiloh Christian in Bismarck. Game times are 6 and 7:30.
There is no Saturday Academy at the middle school or high school tomorrow. The next academy will be on October 2nd. Please contact the school office for more information.

The New Town HS students were a part of an earth lodge demonstration this morning. A huge thanks to Gary Snow!
The New Town/Parshall golf team placed 3rd in the Region 6 golf event on Friday, September 17th qualifying them as a team for the State Class B Golf Tournament. Raylene Driver placed 4th, Winter Oldrock placed 5th, Savannah Whitman placed 10th, and Kia Smith was in the top 20 qualifying. The state golf meet will be in Carrington on September 27th and 28th.
