Good morning. This is a friendly reminder that there is no school this afternoon beginning at 12 noon for all students in grades K through 12 due to professional development for teachers. Students will not be required to attend their distance-learning classes this afternoon.

Seniors and Parents of the Graduating Class of 2021: The final semester has arrived! This is a note to ask your child to go to the Microsoft team created for them and share with you the link to order their cap and gown set. Ordering this set does not guarantee graduation, but is a step that is important to prepare in anticipation for graduation. The orders will be sent to the school and dispersed when they arrive. Once you have ordered the set, please send me a quick email or text so I can track the orders for you.
Also, it is time to start gathering up the photos for the newspapers, yearbook, slideshow, etc. The yearbook staff will need: 2 senior photos (one must me a head and shoulders photo), and 5-6 baby/kid pics. The deadline for photos is March 1st.

The NTHS Yearbook Staff has started their annual advertising campaign. New Town student athletes make sure you have a physical and signed athletic handbook on file before January 15th so you can start practice. Also, any boys interested in basketball please contact Coach Jay Hale at 701-421-0589 or AD Adam Hagen at 701-334-0339 to get added to a TEAMS boys basketball group for a meeting on Monday January 11.

Winter extracurricular activities will begin on January 15 at 4:00 pm. In person, on campus learning will begin on Tuesday, January 19. Distance learning will still be in place for families who prefer to keep their students at home. We are looking forward to having staff and students back in the building! There will be no in school learning for the students at the elementary school tomorrow, December 8th and Wednesday, December 9th due to repairs on the heating system. The soft opening students are welcome back in the building on Thursday, December 10th. This announcement does not include the students attending at JBC. Thank you for your understanding in advance.
The New Town Schools is still operating at a soft-opening level. Special Education students and alternative students can attend on campus. Face to face tutoring is offered after school call your building principal for details.
Winter athletics and activities are currently suspended until further notice. Thank you.
