Any high school students that are interested in summer school is invited to come to the Northern Lights this next week from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm to register. After June 1st, it will be moved to the high school. If you would like more information, please email nancy.reimer@k12.nd.us. There will be courses available in both June and July.

Graduation 2020 Updates
As per a Tribal Council decision:
*All graduates will only be permitted to have 15 reserved guests at the ceremony. A guest list must be provided prior to the ceremony. Details will be sent later.
In addition:
*No gifts--including blankets--will be admitted.
*The seating will not be first come, first served. There will be a specific seating section for each graduate's guests.
*The ceremony will be streamed and available online.
*Participation in the graduation ceremony is not mandatory. Any families that do not feel comfortable attending, please contact me at nancy.reimer@k12.nd.us as soon as possible to let me know so that adjustments can be made to the seating charts and lineups.

Parents and Students of New Town Public Schools: This is a reminder that tomorrow is the last day of school. If there is any homework finished that needs to be turned in please do so before noon tomorrow so that the teachers can grade the papers and update grades. Have a safe and great summer!
This message is for all parents and students in the 8th grade entering into high school next year: Freshman registration is due on Friday, May 15th. The registration packets were delivered on Monday. Please call the high school office at 627-3658 if you have any questions.
Parents and students of New Town Public Schools: If you have homework to be turned in and you want the school district to collect it at your home, please call the school district office by Monday, May 11th before noon at 627-3650. The school district will pick up homework at on May 11th, starting at 1:00 pm. Please ensure that your child’s full name and teacher’s name is on the homework. You can also drop off schoolwork on Monday through Friday, from 8 am to 4 pm at the east entrance of the Middle School/High School by the cafeteria. This will be the last date of pickup as the last day of school is May 15th.

Students and Parents of the Senior Class of 2020: Tentative plans are being made for the NTHS Commencement Ceremony to be on Saturday, June 6th, at 2:00 pm at the 4Bears Event Center. More information will be released as soon as they are verified.

The MHA 477 Program has purchased iPads and Chromebooks for ALL New Town School District students. For Four Bear Segment residents, the items will be delivered by staff to your homes. For the residents that reside in North Segment, distribution will be at the Northern Lights Wellness Center parking lot today April 23rd from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm and again on April 24th from 10:00 am to 5:00pm. This includes all student enrolled MHA tribal members and non-enrolled. Students must be present to receive their device.
Please note the changes: NTHS Parent-Teacher Conferences will be held on Wednesday, May 6th from 5:00-8:00 pm. The NTMS Conferences are scheduled for Thursday, May 7th, 2020 from 5:00-8:00 pm. All conferences will be via Online/Virtual/Phone Calls. The MS & HS teachers will be calling to set up a scheduled time so that you may learn about your child’s progress in school.
