There will be activities for the whole family including dinner, bingo for books, North Dakota Gateway to Science will have STEM activities in the gym, New Town Middle School Escape Room, Math games, Olympic dancing, learn about the last 7 summer Olympic host countries, and more. The Annual Fall Family Title 1 Meeting will be held at 5:45 in the elementary school cafeteria. You will learn about our school goals, how we plan on achieving these goal, and answer any questions families may have.

NEWS RELEASE NEW TOWN PUBLIC SCHOOL DISTRICT #1 ANNUAL INDIAN PARENT INPUT MEETING SCHEDULED The New Town Public School District Board of Education will be conducting its annual parent input meeting at the New Town High School cafeteria on Tuesday, October 22, 2024 at 5:30 pm. A meal will be served. The annual meeting is held in accordance with Federal regulations connected to the Federal Impact Aid Program. Under Section 8003 of Impact Aid, the district receives federal funds in lieu of taxes for lands taken off the tax rolls. Funding is provided for students living on Indian Trust Lands, and some funding for students whose parents work on Indian Trust Property Lands but live off such property. The district receives approximately 11 percent of its total revenues from this source. The purpose of the annual parent input meeting is primarily to ensure parents that Native American students are allowed to participate in every program and aspect of the school district, including extra-curricular activities. Parents are also allowed to provide input into the general K-12 programs of the school district. The New Town Public School District Tribal Consultation Plan required under the new education law, “Every Student Succeeds Act” will also be presented. The plan was approved by the MHA Nation on May 21, 2024. The school board and administration will listen to parents throughout the year, but this special board meeting is for the specific purpose of hearing their input.

This is a friendly reminder that the Senior Class Indian Taco sale is tonight starting at 5 pm until they run out in the HS gym lobby. All plates will be served in a to-go plate for $10 which includes the taco, a drink and a dessert.

We have distributed all of the pre-ordered yearbooks and have only 30 yearbooks remaining. They can be purchased in the business office for $40. First-come, first-served, no holds.

The Senior Class of 2025 will be having an Indian Taco Sale on September 30, 2024 from 5 pm until gone. The sale will be held at the NTHS Gym Concession Stand. All plates will be served in to-go containers. The plates will include: Indian Taco, dessert, and a drink. All proceeds will go to the Class of 2025.

Homecoming Coronation was held this morning at NTHS. The queen candidates are: Doramarie Salter, Jaeden Grady, and Kaegan Martinez. The king candidates were Xavier Bell, Kelan Martin, Karter Neeland. The junior royalty are: Jordyn Pennington, and Treyvionne Williams. The sophomore escorts are: Faith Wells and Tekoah Hood. The freshman escorts are: Taylee Fox and Demetri Djuric. Road construction Update!!! Good morning, starting Wednesday September 11th, the construction crews around the Elementary school will be paving around the Elementary school.
