IMMEDIATE PRESS RELEASE
New Town Public School District to Hold Public Forum on Cell Phone Policy for 2024/25 School Year
Dear New Town Parents and Guardians,
The New Town Public School District announced today that it will be hosting a public forum to discuss updates to the cell phone policy for the upcoming 2024/25 school year. The forum will provide an opportunity for parents and guardians to voice their opinions and concerns regarding cell phone use in schools.
The discussion will focus on several key areas, including updating the current cell phone policy, establishing limitations on cell phone use within school buildings, and addressing concerns about cell phone use during instructional time. The district recognizes the importance of balancing the benefits of technology with the need for a focused and distraction-free learning environment.
We believe it is essential to revisit and potentially revise our cell phone policy to ensure it reflects the evolving needs and challenges of our educational environment. Further, this forum will provide valuable insights and perspectives that will help us create a policy that promotes responsible cell phone use while minimizing disruptions to the learning process.
The public forum will take place on May 21, 2024 at 5:00 – 5:30 pm in the High School Cafeteria. All interested parties are encouraged to attend and participate in this important discussion about the future of cell phone use in New Town schools.
Mr. Marc Bluestone Sr. Dr. Anthony Vandal

Parents will need to drop their students off on the football field side of the road in the mornings. The turn right on 3rd St. to leave the school area. Eagle Drive and 2nd Ave in front of the school will be closed for construction. Pick up in the afternoon will happen in the same way. Please do not come early and park as we do not want to block the road. Please be patient, we just need to get to the last day of school. There is a diagram on the school website and Facebook pages.
